MINSK, March 24 (Xinhua) -- Belarus has started an inspection of the combat readiness of its Armed Forces, the press service of the Belarusian Defence Ministry said on Monday.
Combat readiness test has begun in the Belarusian army by order of President Alexander Lukashenko, the press service said.
According to the Defence Ministry, the personnel of one of the military units will have to carry out a set of measures to prepare equipment and weapons for the performance of combat training tasks, including the loading of material and moving to one of the Armed Forces' ranges.
The units involved in the testing will have to equip and camouflage positions, organize their protection and defence, and then perform test firing.
Attack and reconnaissance UAVs, as well as aviation, will be used in order to create a combat-like situation, the Defence Ministry said.
Civilian transport may be temporarily restricted on public roads and terrain compartments since military hardware has to be moved as part of the test, the press service informed. Enditem
