SINGAPORE, March 26 (Xinhua) -- A 76-year-old man died after being hit by a minibus in western Singapore on Wednesday morning, local media reported.
Police said the 74-year-old driver was arrested for driving without due care and attention, causing death. The accident occurred on Holland Avenue, where the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by a paramedic.
A resident told local media that many elderly individuals in the area have mobility difficulties and often choose to cross the road at convenient locations rather than walking to traffic lights. Enditem
