KABUL, March 28 (Xinhua) -- The Afghan interim government has implemented 98 development projects worth 8.6 billion afghani (about 121 million U.S. dollars) across the country over the past three years, local media reported on Friday.

According to the media outlet Toloews, the projects were in different transportation sectors aimed at facilitating transport services to Afghan people.

"This year, we have 40 projects underway with a total value of 3.6 billion afghani (about 51 million USD), including building roads, transportation terminals and other infrastructure," Tolonews quoted Sediqullah Abid, deputy minister for finance and administration, as saying.

Since taking over power in August 2021, the Afghan interim government has initiated several development and infrastructure projects across the war-ravaged country. Enditem
