MADRID, March 28 (Xinhua) -- La Liga leaders, FC Barcelona faces being without Spain forward Dani Olmo for a vital part of the season after he was forced out of Thursday's 3-0 win at home to Osasuna with a groin injury.

Olmo limped out of the match in the 27th minute, shortly after scoring the second goal of the night with a twice-taken penalty kick, with the club on Friday publishing a medical report.

"Tests conducted on Friday morning have shown that Dani Olmo has suffered a myofascial injury to the adductor of his right leg. The recovery time will be approximately three weeks," reads the report.

The news means the player who has scored eight goals in 28 matches this season will miss what could be the decisive part of the season for his club. As well as La Liga matches at home to Girona, Betis and Celta Vigo and away to Leganes, he will miss next Wednesday's Copa del Rey semifinal return leg away to Atletico Madrid and both legs of the Champions League quarterfinal against Borussia Dortmund. Barca may have him back to face Mallorca on April 23.

Elsewhere in Spain, Real Madrid will be without first choice goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois for Saturday's home game against Leganes. Courtois suffered a muscle strain while playing for Belgium against Ukraine and has still not returned to full training with his club.

Andriy Lunin will start on Saturday and could also retain his place for Real Madrid's semifinal second leg at home to Real Sociedad. Enditem
