NEW YORK, March 28 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks ended lower on Friday.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by 715.80 points, or 1.69 percent, to 41,583.9. The S&P 500 sank 112.37 points, or 1.97 percent, to 5,580.94. The Nasdaq Composite Index shed 481.04 points, or 2.70 percent, to 17,322.99.
Ten of the 11 primary S&P 500 sectors ended in red, with communication services and consumer discretionary leading the laggards by dropping 3.81 percent and 3.27 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, utilities bucked the trend by rising 0.76 percent. Enditem
