KABUL, March 29 (Xinhua) -- Afghan authorities have started construction work on the first and transportation terminal in Faizabad city, the capital of north Afghanistan's Badakhshan province, state-run news agency Bakhtar reported on Saturday.
According to the report, the project, which will be built on a ten-acre plot and cost 60 million Afghani (about 845,000 USD), will provide transport facilities for the local community.
The Ministry of Transport and Aviation has begun constructing new terminals in several provinces over the past weeks.
As part of its efforts to rebuild war-torn Afghanistan, the Afghan interim government has launched development projects and called on domestic and foreign enterprises to invest in the country and create jobs for the poverty-stricken Afghan people. Enditem
