BUENOS AIRES, March 29 (Xinhua) -- Felipe Loyola scored twice as Independiente showed its title credentials with a 4-0 home win over Godoy Cruz in Argentina's Primera Division on Saturday.

Loyola gave his side the lead at Estadio Libertadores de America with a long-range effort that bounced in off the right post.

The Chile international midfielder doubled the advantage when he sent a low 30-yard drive into the far corner after a bungled Godoy Cruz clearance.

Lucas Arce made it 3-0 with an own goal and Gabriel Avalos completed the rout by firing home from the edge of the six-yard box after Santiago Montiel's shot was kept out by Franco Petroli.

The result leaves Independiente top of Group B with 24 points from 11 games, 15 points clear of 10th-placed Godoy Cruz.

In other Primera Division fixtures on Saturday, Instituto Cordoba won 1-0 at home over San Martin and Central Cordoba was held to a 1-1 home draw by Argentinas Juniors. Enditem
