OSLO, March 30 (Xinhua) -- A rocket launched from Andoya Spaceport in northern Norway crashed and exploded shortly after liftoff on Sunday, prompting the activation of a crisis response team, according to the launch facility.
The nearly 30-meter-tall, 50-ton rocket, developed by German company Isar Aerospace, took off at 12:30 p.m. local time but lost control around 20 seconds later. A loud explosion was heard during the live broadcast as the rocket crashed at the Nordmela launch site. Enditem
