Shopping in cyberspace swelled 3.5 percent to 21.06 trillion won (14.3 billion U.S. dollars) in February compared to the same month of last year, according to Statistics Korea.

Transaction of mobile devices in cyberspace soared 53.9 percent on the launch of new smartphones, while demand for car accessories jumped 36.1 percent in the cited month.

Online demand for food delivery service spiked 10.9 percent, and online purchase of food and beverage expanded 8.3 percent.
