JAKARTA, April 2 (Xinhua) -- The Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway (Whoosh) service has transported more than 210,000 passengers during the 2025 Eid al-Fitr holiday period, PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia-China (KCIC), a joint venture consortium between Indonesian and Chinese firms that constructs and runs the HSR, said on Wednesday.

KCIC General Manager Corporate Secretary Eva Chairunisa highlighted the company's commitment to providing integrated transportation solutions for passengers traveling to and from Whoosh stations.

"We have observed a significant rise in passenger numbers, and intermodal transport has played an important role in facilitating their mobility from and to Whoosh Station. With multiple onward transportation options, passengers can enjoy a more efficient, comfortable, and hassle-free journey," Eva said in a statement on Wednesday.

She noted that despite the heavy crowds at stations, passenger flow remained smooth thanks to efficient intermodal connections.

According to her, Whoosh stations are well-integrated with various modes of transportation, including LRT, Transjakarta, Damri buses, shuttle services, commuter trains, and both conventional and online taxis.

Additionally, each station benefits from direct road and toll access, making it easier for passengers to reach their destinations.

Eva advised passengers to take advantage of the intermodal services available at each Whoosh station for a smoother travel experience. Enditem
