PHNOM PENH, April 4 (Xinhua) -- The Cambodian government on Friday approved the National Policy on Air Transport 2025-2035, aiming to attract 25 million air passengers, a press release said.
The approval was made during a weekly cabinet meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Hun Manet, the press release said.
"This national policy was designed to develop an efficient, sustainable, and resilient air transport in Cambodia through strengthening and expanding domestic, regional, and global air connectivity," it said.
It added that the national policy is also to create fair business opportunities in the civil aviation industry.
Sinn Chanserey Vutha, secretary of state and spokesperson at the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation, said Cambodia is expected to receive 7.5 million air passengers in 2025, a rise of 20 percent over 2024. Enditem
