NEW DELHI, April 4 (Xinhua) -- India's foreign exchange reserves rose 6.596 billion U.S. dollars to 665.396 billion dollars during the week ending on March 28, the central bank said on Friday.
This was the fourth consecutive week that India's forex reserves had risen, thus reaching the highest level in the past five months.
Over the past three weeks, forex reserves rose cumulatively by over 20 billion dollars.
According to the central bank's weekly bulletin, foreign currency assets rose by 6.158 billion dollars to 565.014 billion dollars, while gold reserves rose by 519 million dollars to 77.793 billion dollars.
However, special drawing rights fell by 65 million dollars to 18.176 billion dollars. Enditem
