WASHINGTON, April 4 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mistakenly emailed multiple Ukrainians legally residing in the United States under a humanitarian program, stating their status had been revoked and they had seven days to leave or face enforcement actions.
A DHS spokesperson said Friday the email was sent in error and clarified that the parole program, launched following the start of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, remains in effect. The department later informed recipients that their parole status remains unchanged.
It remains unclear how many Ukrainians received the erroneous email. Enditem
