SOFIA, April 6 (Xinhua) -- Bulgaria, Ukraine, and Spain shared the eight gold medals at the first leg of the 2024 FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup series, which concluded Sunday.
Host nation Bulgaria secured three titles: Stiliana Nikolova claimed individual gold in ball and hoop, while the team triumphed in the five-ribbon group event.
Ukraine also won three golds, with Taisiia Onofriichuk topping the individual all-around, clubs, and ribbon competitions.
Spain rounded out the podium with victories in the group all-around and the three balls and two hoops event.
The three-day competition, which began Friday, featured 85 gymnasts in individual events and 12 nations in group contests.
This year's World Cup series includes four legs, with upcoming stops in Baku (Azerbaijan), Tashkent (Uzbekistan), and Milan (Italy). Enditem
