MINSK, April 9 (Xinhua) -- Belarusian president Alexander Lukashenko signed a directive on implementing fundamental principles of the ideology of the Belarusian state, the press service of the Belarusian leader said on Wednesday.

The directive is aimed at increasing the effectiveness of ideological work and updating the regulatory framework governing the ideological sphere.

The document provides for the approval of the conceptual foundations of the ideology of the Belarusian state, the promotion of an understanding of the statehood of the Belarusian people shared by the entire society.

The directive also proposes the unification of approaches to conducting ideological work with the population and its assessment.

According to the document, the implementation of the ideology of the Belarusian state will take place in all spheres and in all business entities of any form of ownership. It is envisaged to ensure the involvement of those employed in the private sector of the country's economy in the pro-state information and ideological field. Enditem
