WELLINGTON, April 10 (Xinhua) -- New Zealand and the United States' Colorado state have signed a memorandum of cooperation to expand collaboration in aerospace, quantum, and geothermal technologies.

The cooperation deal aims to drive economic growth through joint research and development, company exchanges, innovation hubs, and investment opportunities in strategic industries, a New Zealand government statement cited Space Minister Judith Collins, who attended the 40th Space Symposium in Colorado Springs.

Collins formalized the agreement with Colorado State Governor Jared Polis, building on discussions held a year ago, the statement said, adding the agreement encourages engagement and will deepen New Zealand's commercial relationships as well as establish links to develop new ones.

The partnership covers aerospace technologies and applications, quantum technologies, conventional and enhanced geothermal systems, and entrepreneurship, venture capital, and startups. Enditem
