HANOI, April 10 (Xinhua) -- The 13th Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee commenced its 11th plenum in Hanoi on Thursday with a primary focus on restructuring the political system's organizational apparatus and addressing key personnel matters, Vietnam News Agency reported.
In his opening remarks, General Secretary of the CPV Central Committee To Lam underscored the long-term strategic significance of reorganizing administrative units across all levels.
He noted that the Politburo and the Secretariat are keen to gather proposals and solutions aimed at achieving an economic growth rate of 8 percent or higher in 2025, followed by sustained double-digit growth in the following years.
During the three-day plenum, the Politburo is expected to report to the Party Central Committee on personnel matters within its authority.
Delegates will also prepare for the upcoming 14th National Party Congress and elections of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term. Enditem
