JUBA, April 10 (Xinhua) -- South Sudan's President Salva Kiir has dismissed the country's foreign minister, Ramadan Mohammed Abdallah Goc.
In a presidential decree aired Wednesday evening through South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation, Kiir replaced Abdallah with Monday Semaya Kumba.
No reasons were given for the change.
Prior to his appointment, Semaya served as deputy foreign minister. He also served as the country's ambassador to China before being promoted to deputy foreign minister in April last year.
Abdallah was appointed minister of foreign affairs and international cooperation on April 24, 2024. Enditem
