BAGHDAD, April 10 (Xinhua) -- Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani on Thursday reiterated Iraq's support for the Palestinian people, calling for joint action to end their suffering.

During a meeting with visiting Palestinian Interior Minister Ziad Hab Al-Reeh in Baghdad, al-Sudani reaffirmed Iraq's firm position on the Palestinian cause, condemning Israel's aggression in Gaza, according to a statement from his media office.

Al-Sudani stressed in the statement the importance of solidarity and joint action at all levels to end the suffering of the Palestinian people, safeguard their rights, and stop Israeli killings in Gaza.

For his part, the Palestinian minister expressed gratitude for Iraq's continued support for the legitimate demands and rights of the Palestinian people, as well as for Iraq's efforts to promote stability in the region, read the statement. Enditem
