TOKYO, April 11 (Xinhua) -- The Japan Meteorological Agency on Friday issued a warning for unstable atmospheric conditions across western and eastern Japan, urging caution for possible thunderstorms, strong winds and lightning.

Rain clouds are currently developing over Shikoku, the Kinki region, and the Izu Islands, with lightning observed in parts of Shikoku.

The unstable atmospheric conditions are forecast to continue through Friday night in western Japan and into the early morning hours of Saturday in eastern Japan.

Heavy rain of more than 30 millimeters per hour may occur in coastal areas of the Kanto-Koshin region, accompanied by lightning and strong gusts.

The meteorological agency is warning of potential hazards including lightning strikes, tornadoes, strong winds, and hails. Enditem
