KABUL, April 11 (Xinhua) -- The construction of six development projects has begun in east Afghanistan's Panjshir province, the local media Tolonews reported on Friday.
The projects, which will cost 27 million afghanis (over 371,000 U.S. dollars) and include the construction of water canals and retaining walls, will improve the living conditions of thousands of people in the province.
Meanwhile, the Afghan authorities have launched various projects, including road construction and water dams in Afghanistan's Ghazni and Helmand provinces.
The Afghan interim government plans to launch more development projects across the war-ravaged country to address economic challenges and create jobs. Enditem
