BAGHDAD, April 11 (Xinhua) -- Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid held a phone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian on Friday, during which they emphasized the importance of continuing cooperation between the two countries.
The two leaders discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest to benefit both nations and support regional security and stability, according to a statement from the Iraqi presidency.
They also addressed regional and international issues, highlighting the need for constructive dialogue to meet shared challenges and promote development and stability.
