KATHMANDU, April 14 (Xinhua) -- Foreign direct investments (FDI) committed to Nepal increased by around 90 percent during the first nine months of the current 2024-25 fiscal year, the Department of Industry said.
The pledged amounts stood at 421 million U.S. dollars for 480 projects by Sunday, as against 225 million dollars during the first nine months of 2023-24.
Most of the promised investments went to tourism, followed by the sectors of information communication technology and service, the department said.
The current fiscal year began in mid-July 2024. Enditem
