DOHA -- Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met on Tuesday in Doha with Syria's leader Ahmed al-Sharaa to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments, according to a statement issued by the administrative office of the Qatari emir.

JERUSALEM -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday that he opposes the establishment of a Palestinian state, reaffirming his long-held position amid mounting international support for a two-state solution.
