Hibiscus Petroleum inks 100 million USD financing with Brunei banks

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, April 17 (Xinhua) -- Hibiscus Petroleum via its wholly-owned subsidiary, Simpor Hibiscus Sdn Bhd, has entered into a long-term 100 million U.S. dollar financing facilities agreement with Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam and Baiduri Bank in Brunei.

Hibiscus Petroleum is a Malaysian independent oil and gas exploration and production company. The signing ceremony for the agreement took place in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei on Wednesday.

According to Hibiscus Petroleum, it reinforces its long-term commitment to Brunei's energy sector and its support for national priorities under Brunei Vision 2035, including enhancing local energy sector resilience through strategic financing and promoting knowledge transfer.

Its key activities are focused on monetizing its producing oil and gas fields and growing its portfolio of exploration, development and production assets in areas of its geographical focus in Malaysia, Vietnam, Brunei, countries in Asia Pacific, the United Kingdom and Australia. Enditem
