LOS ANGELES, April 22 (Xinhua) -- NASA's SpaceX commercial resupply services mission arrived at the International Space Station (ISS) on Tuesday, delivering a host of cargo and new research to the orbiting laboratory.
The SpaceX Dragon spacecraft lifted off at 4:15 a.m. Eastern Time Monday from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in the southeastern U.S. state of Florida. The spacecraft autonomously docked with the ISS on Tuesday at about 8:20 a.m. Eastern Time.
The spacecraft delivered about 6,700 pounds of cargo to the ISS, according to NASA.
Aboard the Dragon spacecraft were experiments focused on vision-based navigation, spacecraft air quality, materials for drug and product manufacturing, and advancing plant growth with less reliance on photosynthesis, according to NASA.
The launch marks NASA's 32nd commercial resupply mission carried out in partnership with SpaceX. Enditem
