Currently many metropolises in China vie with each other to hold
Miss "Artificial Beauty" contests. The Plastic Surgery Branch of
Chinese Medical Doctors Association and Shunde Oriental
Gynecological Hospital jointly held the first Miss "Artificial
Beauty" contest in Shunde, Guangdong Province on December 3, which
has attracted hundreds of girls from all parts of China.
The organizers require that all participants must have taken
face-lifting surgeries. The winners of the contest will be
announced on February 8, 2007, who will be awarded tens of
thousands of yuan.
Judges of the contest are experts from Chinese Academy of
Medical Sciences, Peking Union Medical College and Peking
University No. 3 Hospital.
The organizers also plan to give free face-lifting surgery to
those participants.
