Six submarine cable systems damaged by earthquakes off the coast
of the Taiwan Province of China last December have now been
repaired, the Office of the Telecommunications Authority announced
in Hong Kong on Wednesday.
The earthquakes caused serious damage to the cable systems
supporting Hong Kong's external telecoms services, resulting in
disruptions.
The cable operators said all external telecoms services -
including Internet access - have been fully restored.
