Chinese director, Feng Xiaogang, revealed on Tuesday that the
post-production of his latest war epic The Assembly will
be finished in South Korea in August.
Beijing News reports that the first trailer for the
movie will be released at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival in the
middle of May. The movie is also expected to feature at this year's
Pusan International Film Festival in South Korea.
The editing of some scenes and transitions passages were the
first to be finished, and then several important battle scenes were
transferred to a South Korean production team, left to the
discretion of the director for the definitive cut.
All editing work for the movie has now been finished, and the
production work for its special sound effects is underway.
Feng Xiaogang told The Beijing News that sound effects
are quite critical for his war movie, that and he is looking
forward to the final edition.
Meanwhile, all the lead roles in the movie start dubbing work on
May 9.
This US$10 million war epic is Chinese director Feng Xiaogang's
first project since his martial arts movie The
Banquet.
