A photo album on Su Yu, a late senior general of the Chinese
People's Liberation Army (PLA), was published on Friday, in memory
of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the military leader.
Su participated in the Nanchang Uprising, on August 1, 1927,
which is regarded as the day of founding of the Communist Party of
China (CPC)-led armed forces.
General Su Yu is one of the most legendary military leaders who
commanded a series of major battles during the wars against the
Kuomintang Regime and Japanese invaders.
The album was co-edited by the CPC provincial committee of
Jiangsu Province and Shu's family members, according to the
publisher, the Central Historical Documentary Publishing House.
The album is composed of over 500 photos and over 60,000
characters. Many of the photos in the album have been made public
for the first time.
