Ang Lee's new spy thriller Lust, Caution will join the
competition for Oscar's best foreign film nomination, reports The
Beijing News on Wednesday.
According to the report, the director doesn't have high
expectation for the North American box office performance. "Both
the rhythm and the language of the film are very Chinese, even
though I used some western-style screening methods, it's not the
topic of the westerners' concern", the director says when attending
a conference in Hong Kong.
However, some foreign media predict that Ang Lee, who was crowned
the best director at the 78th Academy Awards for "Brokeback
Mountain", still has the potential to race for the best director's
award next year.
