Chinese singing stars and musicians from ASEAN countries jointly
presented a musical feast Sunday night in Nanning, celebrating the
opening of the Fourth China-ASEAN Expo in the southern Chinese
city.

The showcase, with an estimated audience of 30,000, also raised
the curtain for the annual Nanning International Folk Song Arts
Festival.
Folk songs performed by such prominent musicians as Taiwan
ballad singer Fei Yu-Ching and Mongolian singer Teng Ko Erh painted
vivid ethnic scenarios. Pop beats were added when Hong Kong singer
Nicholas Tse and pop duo Twins took to the stage.
Thai pop queen Tata Young and a line-up of musicians hailing
from Vietnam and Singapore also contributed to a diversified night
of music.
