Thousands of onlookers flock onto the Caiyuanba
Bridge over the Yangtze River as the bridge opens to traffic in
southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, October 29, 2007. The
bridge, which cost 2 billion yuan (US$258 million) and nearly four
years to build, is a structural blend of tunnels and flyovers with
a unique arch and cable structure. The distance between two tall
steel piers is 420m.
