Twice a year, Chinese fashion designers showcase their upcoming
collections at the China Fashion Week. When the leaves and the
temperatures start falling in Beijing, models take to the runways
to showcase the dresses of the upcoming spring and summer
seasons.
Tonight at the top-end DPark, the new home base of the Chinese
Fashion Designers Association in the 798 Art Zone, the leading
Chinese undergarment brand Aimer will stage a catwalk show of sexy
underwear and bras to kick off the China Fashion Week 08 SS
Collections.
Over the following 10 days, some 40 designers from China, South
Korea and Italy will unveil their latest designs.
Because so many brands and designers hoped to make caveats, the
Week will run until November 11. In addition to clothing, it will
also showcase jewelry, wristwatches and hairstyles. And the show
will not only unveil the newest innovations of established
designers, but also is intended to discover new talents and help
them develop a successful career.
Members of the fashion industry will also attend the annual
Beijing International Fashion Forum to talk about how to make
Beijing a new Asian fashion capital.
At the Fashion Week's grand finale, organizers will announced
the Women Designer of the Year, Man Designer of the Year, Model of
the Year, Stylist of the Year, Brand of the Year, Best Designer of
Women's Collection, Best Designer of Men's Collection and Best
Fashion Photographer.
