The first batch of fighter-airwomen will possibly take their appearance in 2009. The commander of the Military Training Department of Air Force said that their higher flight training sessions will last about one year; the qualified will join the corresponding bases to take refitting training, and then get the chance to serve in the aviation fighting army once they pass a strict examination.

China is one of the countries with most female pilots. Since 1951, altogether eight batches, numbering over 400 women, have been admitted by the air force, with about 300 becoming pilots.
