Qinghai Ethnic Dances Enchant Audience
Adjust font size:
As a prominent part of the ongoing Second National Joint Art Show by Ethnic Minority Groups, a group of dances performed Friday evening by local people from northwest China's Qinghai Province greatly excited the audience.

Named "High Sky and Thick Earth", the performance comprised seven parts, which respectively reflected the culture of different ethnic minority groups living in the province.

The flexible bodies, colorful clothes and resounding music brought the vivid scenes of Qinghai to the audience, gaining continuous applause.

Wang En, a Beijing resident, said he has been to Qinghai and was deeply impressed by the simple and honest people there.

"The natural conditions in Qinghai are very tough, and I want to applaud the diligent people there," he added.

Many ethnic minority groups, including Tibetans, Mongolians, Tus, Huis and Salas, are living in the province, and have established a harmonious relationship with the local Han people.
