Shanghai Capable of Holding World Expo, BIE

The inspection delegation of the Bureau of International Exhibition ended their five-day visit in Shanghai Saturday.

They all spoke highly of Shanghai's sound organization, financial capacity and infrastructure level.

Carmen Sylvain, BIE vice-president and chairperson of the BIE Executive Committee, told the press that the statement of Shanghai was comprehensive, and the theme of Shanghai's bidding "Better City, Better Life" was exceptional.

Carmen also stressed her appreciation of hope and ardor from all sectors of Shanghai citizens.

The delegation, including BIE President Gilles Noghes and Secretary-General V.G. Loscertales, was to leave Shanghai Saturday afternoon.
