Anti-dumping Taxes on Imported Newsprint Continues
Adjust font size:
China will go on levying anti-dumping taxes on imported newsprint from Canada, the ROK and the US pending a review of the policy, according to the Ministry of Commerce's (MOC) 29th bulletin of 2003 issued Friday.

On July 1, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce initiated a review of its anti-dumping measures against imported newsprint produced in Canada, the Republic of Korea and the United States. The investigation is expected to be concluded before June 30, 2004.

According to the bulletin, during the investigation, China will continue to levy anti-dumping taxes on the imported newsprint in question.

The anti-dumping measures were set by the 4th bulletin of 1999 issued by the MOC's forerunner, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation.

The measures were imposed for a five-year period, beginning in July 1998.
