Bank Chairman Quits for Personal Reasons

Zhang Enzhao, chairman of the China Construction Bank (CCB), has resigned from his posts as chairman and director for personal reasons, the bank announced on Wednesday.

Zhang's resignation was approved effective immediately at a meeting of the directors on March 16.

Chang Zhenming, vice chairman and president of CCB, will step in as acting chairman until a permanent replacement is elected.
