A Japanese right-winger attacked the Chinese Consulate General in Osaka on Thursday, but caused no property damage or casualties.

The man came to the front gate of the building on a bike at around 4:20 PM local time and sprayed a window with a fire extinguisher, according to consulate officials.

The man, described as a leader of a right-wing group, was arrested by local police at the scene on charges of damaging property.

The consulate has lodged a complaint with the police and asked for sound measures against the recurrence of such an incident.
