The Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist
Party of China (CPC) held a meeting on Monday to discuss the
2006-2010 national CPC cadre training plan.
The meeting was presided over by CPC Central Committee General
Secretary Hu Jintao.
The meeting decided to focus training for CPC cadres during the
Eleventh Five-Year Plan Period (2006-2010) on building a moderately
prosperous society, building a harmonious socialist society,
enhancing the Party's governance capability and maintaining the
Party's advanced nature.
The meeting recommended that more attention be given to cadre
training. The meeting recommended focusing on cadre training with
the goal of building a "learning Party" and a "pro-learning
society". This will provide an ideological guarantee as well as
professional support for the economic and social objectives of the
Eleventh Five-Year Plan.
The meeting stressed that the latest achievements of the
“sinicization” of Marxism will be comprehensively examined and
used. CPC cadres will further study Marxism, Leninism, Mao Zedong
Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory and the "Three Represents" Important
Thought.
CPC cadres will also be further trained on the Selected Works of
Jiang Zemin, and on thinking related to the scientific view of
development and the building of a harmonious socialist society, key
points raised by the CPC Central Committee.
CPC cadres will learn more about the Party's ideological
motives, guidelines, policies, laws and regulations, as well as the
country and the Party's major economic, political, cultural,
social, foreign affairs and national defense requirements. In this
manner, it will be guaranteed that the cadres perform their duties
in a scientific, democratic way while respecting the law, and
improving their ability to promote economic and social
development.
CPC cadres will be trained to study and solve major reform
issues, local development and stability issues, how to address
problems in people's daily lives as well as issues relating to
Party building.
CPC cadres will be trained to enhance political standards, study
new situations and solve new issues and open up new theoretical and
practical vistas, the meeting stressed.
