Wetlands in Cangzhou, Hebei Province, became a paradise for
waterfowl as more than 1,000 birds arrived there last week for
their winter migration, and more are due in the next month, a
survey found.
More than 1,000 waterfowl in 15 species including swans, common
cranes and egrets were seen in Cangzhou's wetland areas along the
Bohai Sea.
"It is seldom for locals to see so many water birds in a winter
like that of this year," experts said, indicating that warmer
winter days in certain regions may have affected the birds'
migration patterns.
