Adjust font size:

Veteran South Korean mountaineer Park Young Seok is going to climb Mt. Qomolangma from southwest face, considered the most difficult route on Monday.

According to The Rising Nepal newspaper report, this is the first time climber is scaling up the Mt. Qomolangma, the world's highest peak, from this route.

Ace climber Park has finished his Grand Slam Expedition last year that includes world's 14 peaks above 8,000 meter-high, the report said.

Last year, Park climbed Mt. Qomolangma from China's Tibetan side.

"As I love climbing the mountain which has become my hobby, I will go on climbing the mountains to find the new routes which will help the new comers in the expedition mission," Park said.
