Beijing Benz-DaimlerChrysler Automotive Co. Ltd. will recall
1,443 Chrysler 300C sedans due to potential gearshift oil cooler
problems, China's market watchdog said on Thursday.
According to the General Administration of Quality Supervision,
Inspection and Quarantine (GAQSIQ), the sedans to be recalled were
manufactured from March 21 to May 29 of this year. The company's
authorized service stations will offer free replacements for
customers.
The recall will not cover imported Chrysler 300C sedans.
Beijing Benz-DaimlerChrysler Automotive Co. Ltd. is a joint
venture between Daimler Chrysler and Beijing Automotive Industry
Holding Company (BAIC). Each side has a 50 percent stake in the
30-year joint venture.
