The first day of the 2007 F1 Powerboat World Championship Grand Prix of Shenzhen on Saturday marked the opening of the 2007 Shenzhen International Tourism Culture Festival, yesterday's Daily Sunshine reported.

The festival will last two months and is expected to draw tens of millions of people.

Compared with previous editions, this year's festival will be more international in nature with a focus on high-end tourism, the Daily Sunshine report said. More interactive activities have been planned for participants of the festival which is also aimed at strengthening cooperation between Shenzhen and other cities in the Pearl River Delta region, as well as raising Shenzhen's international profile.
