A swimsuit design contest will kick off on July 8 in Huludao, Liaoning Province. Professional and amateur designers nationwide are welcome to compete.

The contest is part of the Xingcheng Swimsuit Culture Festival and is organized by the National Garment Association, Liaoning Economy and Information Committee and the local government.

Huludao is one of three swimsuit production bases in China, with more than 350 swimsuit companies and annual sales revenue of 5 billion yuan.

The contest will close on August 17.
