Avenue: movie theaters across Beijing

The annual Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF), founded in April 2011, shows hundreds of films from home and abroad in theaters across Beijing and holds various industry forums as well. The young film festival is widely considered as a strong competitor of the Shanghai International Film Festival, the only Class-A international film festival in China. It provides filmmakers and film companies with a platform for exchanging ideas and doing business. In 2013, the third edition of BJIFF will introduce a competition section as well as the Temple of Heaven Awards.
