Miancha (flour tea)
Miancha has a very misleading name because it has nothing to do with tea. It is actually a kind of very thick porridge made of millet and rice flour and is usually served in the afternoon. Traditionally, miancha was served without chopsticks or spoon. Customers had to hold the bowl and turn it around to sip the porridge. |
