Time: March to April, every year
Venue: Yuyuantan Park, No. 10, Xisanhuanbei Road, Haidian District, Beijing

The vast scenic Yuyuantan Park holds a month-long cherry blossom festival every year. The park currently has over 2,000 cherry trees from 20 different species, many of which have been brought from Liaoning and Shandong provinces. An array of activities is likely to be hosted during the festival, such as painting and calligraphy exhibitions, photography competitions, and cherry blossom tree adoption. A visit during cherry blossom season quickly reveals the most popular activity — photography. Most visitors carry cameras in hopes of entering the photography competition, and also several women can be seen having personal portraits taken near the trees.
