To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Hungary and the People's Republic of China, the Embassy of Hungary in Beijing hosted a painting show of the works of Hungarian painter Zsuzsi Csiszér.

Zsuzsi Csiszér (1972, Hungary) belongs to the group of painters called "techno-realists," according to an agreement among photo-realist painters. Though Csiszér's paintings are based on photos, the new-born painting always bears the characteristics of a hand-made, irreproducible picture. Thus, contrary to the perfect photo, the paintings are sometimes imperfect, as the aim of their creation is not the most perfect mirroring of the view, but much more the problems of the different pictorial tasks involved in painting.

China and Hungary established diplomatic relations on October 6, 1949, and the two countries have since enjoyed a long history and profound friendship.
